Rider Privacy Notice

Trap Couriers Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is the data controller. This notice explains how we process your personal data when you apply to join as a self-employed rider.

1. Data We Collect

• Identity data (name, date of birth, address, contact details).
• Right-to-work data (passport/ID, visa or share code, proof of address).
• Financial data (bank details, invoices).
• Work data (availability, assignments, shifts).
• Communications during onboarding.

2. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

• Verify identity and right to work (legal obligation).
• Set you up as a rider and manage assignments (contract).
• Process payments and invoices (contract/legal obligation).
• Maintain business records (legal obligation).

3. Who We Share It With

• Delivery Service Providers (for rostering and assignment).
• Payroll and accounting providers.
• Regulators (Home Office, HMRC) where legally required.
• Jotform (our secure online form provider).

4. Data Retention

• Onboarding & right-to-work records: duration of roster + up to 6 years.
• Payroll and invoicing: 6 years.

5. Your Rights

6. Security

Your data is collected securely via Jotform, which stores data in the EU. We apply technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data.
